Deadwood (Seasons 1–3)

Deadwood (2004) is HBO's acclaimed frontier drama you can watch online on iFILM. The setting is a Black Hills gold camp in the mid-1870s — before law, before statehood, when the only rule was whoever held the money and the muscle. Most of the principal characters actually lived there.

Former lawman Seth Bullock arrives planning to sell hardware and stay out of trouble. Al Swearengen, owner of the Gem Saloon, has run the camp through rum, bribery, and occasional murder, and he has no interest in competition. Timothy Oliphant and Ian McShane turn their standoff into something Shakespearean — neither man is clean, neither is simple. Molly Parker, Brad Dourif, and Anna Gunn round out an ensemble that makes every scene count.
