Synopsis
Queer as Folk (2000–2005) is a drama series from the US, Canada and the UK that you can watch online on iFILM. Five seasons set on Liberty Avenue in Pittsburgh — no softening, no tidy lessons, and no apologies.
The show centers on three men. Brian Kinney, played by Gale Harold, is a sharp, self-sufficient ad executive who operates on his own terms and answers to nobody. His longtime friend Michael (Hal Sparks) has been quietly in love with him for years. Then seventeen-year-old Justin, played by Randy Harrison, shows up in the pilot and refuses to disappear. Around them: a full community navigating relationships, ambitions, illness and the politics of the early 2000s. Sharon Gless plays Debbie, Michael's mother, and she steals every scene she's in.
The series addressed health crises, hate crimes and queer visibility at a time when most network television looked the other way. Stream all five seasons of Queer as Folk online on iFILM.
