Synopsis
End Game (2018) is an American documentary from directors Jeffrey Friedman and Rob Epstein, available to watch online on iFILM. The filmmakers — known for The Celluloid Closet and Howl — made this short film for Netflix.
Shot in vérité style with no narration, End Game follows palliative care physicians in San Francisco as they work with patients who have little time left. These doctors aren't fighting to extend life at any cost. Their focus is on the experience of dying itself — on what it takes to help someone through the end with honesty and care.
