Tokyo Ghoul (東京喰種, 2014) is a dark fantasy anime series by studio Pierrot — watch all seasons online on iFILM. The show ran on Tokyo MX across four seasons and 48 episodes, each around 24 minutes, and it ended with a devoted following across the globe.

Ken Kaneki is a quiet college student whose biggest concern is the book he's reading. One date later, he wakes up half-ghoul: surgically altered after a near-fatal attack by a predator who looks entirely human but feeds on people. Now Kaneki is caught between two worlds that want him dead. Natsuki Hanae voices Kaneki with an arc that goes from meek to something far darker; Sora Amamiya plays Touka Kirishima, the ghoul who reluctantly keeps him alive long enough to figure out what he's become. Based on the manga by Sui Ishida, the series is anchored by one of anime's most recognisable opening tracks — Unravel by TK from Ling tosite Sigure.
