InuYasha (Seasons 1–2)

InuYasha (犬夜叉, 2000) is a Japanese fantasy anime series you can watch online on iFILM. Based on Rumiko Takahashi's manga, the show drops a Tokyo schoolgirl into feudal Japan through an ancient well sitting in her family's Shinto shrine.

Kagome Higurashi is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyo, which means she carries the Shikon Jewel — a gem that can grant terrifying power to any demon that claims it. She emerges from the well into the Sengoku period and frees Inuyasha, a half-demon with dog ears and a very short temper, from a century-long enchanted sleep. The two set off across a war-torn medieval landscape to collect the shards of the shattered jewel before a parade of demons and scheming humans beats them to it. Voiced by Kappei Yamaguchi and Satsuki Yukino, the main duo spend as much time arguing as they do fighting.
