Synopsis

Director Damián Szifrón threads the film together with rage, grudges and revenge. A roadside waitress recognizes a late-night customer as the loan shark who once drove her father to suicide. A smug driver in an Audi refuses to let a beat-up Peugeot pass, and the petty feud ends in blood. A groom learns the truth about his bride at the reception. Each chapter has its own faces, with Ricardo Darín, Leonardo Sbaraglia, Oscar Martínez and Érica Rivas leading the cast.
The film earned an Oscar nomination for Best Foreign Language Film and became one of the biggest box-office hits in Argentine history. Szifrón never lectures.
