Eris steals the Book of Peace — an artefact that keeps the world from tearing itself apart — and frames Sinbad for the crime. His childhood friend Prince Proteus takes the blame and waits for the axe to fall. Sinbad has one chance to fix it: sail to the edge of the known world, fight through sea monsters, giant ice birds, and Eris's shifting illusions, and bring the book back. Along for the ride is Marina, Proteus's fiancée, voiced by Zeta-Jones — sharp, sceptical, and entirely unwilling to pretend Sinbad is the hero he claims to be.

Directors Timothy Johnson and Patrick Gilmore packed 86 minutes with back-to-back creature sequences and enough movement to keep younger audiences locked in from the first reel.
