Hellbound (Seasons 1–2)
They were resurrected into a hellbound world.
Synopsis
Hellbound (지옥, 2021) is a Korean supernatural thriller on Netflix you can watch online on iFILM. Director Yeon Sang-ho, who made Train to Busan, adapted his own webtoon: massive otherworldly creatures materialize in broad daylight, deliver a death sentence to specific individuals, and drag them into hell — all on camera.
The spectacle is public and inescapable. From it rises an organization called The New Truth, which frames each killing as a verdict of divine justice and builds a mass following fast. Detective Jin Kyeong-hun, played by Kim Sung-cheol, digs into who is using the phenomenon and how. Lawyer Min Hye-jin, played by Park Jeong-min, refuses to let a mob faith swallow due process. Six episodes span years and multiple waves of victims, each revealing a different face of collective fear.
Hellbound hit Netflix in November 2021 and within days ranked number one in dozens of countries — briefly outpacing Squid Game in some markets. The horror is visceral, but the real subject is how quickly institutions collapse when people decide suffering is deserved. Stream Hellbound (2021) online on iFILM.
