Synopsis
Joy Ride (2001) is a road thriller directed by John Dahl that you can watch online on iFILM. College student Lewis sets out across the country to pick up a girl he likes, and swings by to collect his older brother Fuller along the way. Paul Walker and Steve Zahn play the brothers.
Fuller finds a CB radio in a pawn shop and talks Lewis into a prank: they pose as a woman on the airwaves and arrange a motel meetup with a trucker they name Rusty Nail. It seems harmless. It isn't. Something happens that night in the room next door — and the voice on the radio already knows their names, their car, and which way they're heading.
John Dahl shoots it like old-school highway suspense: flat open roads, empty truck stops, a killer who stays off-screen for most of the film. Leelee Sobieski plays the girl Lewis drove all this way to see. Running 97 minutes. Stream Joy Ride (2001) online on iFILM.
