K-19: The Widowmaker

Vostrikov orders volunteer crews into the reactor compartment in makeshift lead gear, rotating shifts until the job is done or the men can no longer stand. Liam Neeson plays the first officer who disagrees with every call his captain makes and says so plainly. Their clash runs through every scene while the clock ticks toward a meltdown that could trigger something far larger than one sunken vessel.
