Synopsis
Next Friday (2000) is an American comedy directed by Steve Carr that you can watch online on iFILM. Craig Jones has a problem: Deebo, the neighborhood bully who Craig knocked out in the original Friday, just got out of prison and is already looking for payback. Craig's only move is to lay low at his Uncle Elgin's place — a lottery winner who cashed out and moved to a quiet suburban cul-de-sac.
The suburbs turn out to be anything but quiet. Ice Cube wrote the screenplay and stars as Craig, with Mike Epps making his feature debut as cousin Day-Day, a role that launched his entire comedy career. John Witherspoon is back as Craig's father Willie, dispensing advice nobody asked for. The neighbors — led by the dangerous Joker brothers — make sure trouble follows Craig no matter how far from South Central he goes.
Second entry in the Friday franchise, the film trades the original's corner-store setting for California suburbia without losing any of the low-key, slow-burn humor that made the series a cult staple.
