Synopsis
Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (1993) is the animated noir mystery you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Bruce Timm and Eric Radomski. A caped figure is stalking Gotham's aging mobsters, killing them one by one, and the police pin the murders on Batman himself.
The real killer is the Phantasm, and every target traces back to Salvatore Valestra's old crew. As Batman dodges the manhunt, Andrea Beaumont (Dana Delany) walks back into Bruce Wayne's life after years away. Their rekindled romance pulls the story toward a quieter question than any whodunit: why a billionaire ever put on the cowl in the first place. Kevin Conroy voices Batman, with Mark Hamill's Joker crashing the case for reasons of his own.
Spun off from the beloved Batman: The Animated Series, the film trades in Dark Deco shadows, Shirley Walker's brooding orchestral score, and flashbacks to a young Bruce torn between love and a vow.
