About

Synopsis

Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) is a British romantic comedy directed by Sharon Maguire that you can watch online on iFILM. Renée Zellweger earned an Academy Award nomination playing a thirty-two-year-old Londoner who decides to keep score of everything — cigarettes, calories, units of alcohol, and every romantic disaster she walks into. Colin Firth and Hugh Grant play the two men she definitely should not fall for.

Working Title Films adapted Helen Fielding's 1996 novel for Universal Pictures. Bridget works at a London publishing house, dreads office parties but shows up to all of them, and starts her diary on the first of January with zero intention of anyone ever reading it. Her charming boss Daniel Cleaver (Grant) notices her immediately. The stiff, formal Mark Darcy (Firth) she dismisses on sight. They keep appearing at the same dinner tables.

Made for $25 million, the film grossed nearly $282 million worldwide and set the template for the chick-lit genre on screen — two sequels followed, and Zellweger came back to the role fifteen years later. Stream Bridget Jones's Diary (2001) in full online on iFILM.
