Synopsis
Children of the Corn (1984), the Stephen King adaptation, is a horror film you can watch online on iFILM. A young couple driving across Nebraska hit a boy on an empty highway and turn off toward the nearest town for help. The town is deserted.
No adults, anyway. A few years back the children, led by a boy preacher named Isaac, slaughtered everyone old enough to drive — a blood offering to whatever lives out in the corn, the thing they call He Who Walks Behind the Rows. Burt (Peter Horton) and Vicky (Linda Hamilton) aren't welcomed; they're marked as the next sacrifice. There's nowhere to run when the stalks wall you in on every side.
Director Fritz Kiersch made this a couple of years before Linda Hamilton became Sarah Connor, and its cult reputation rests on one nerve: kids turned cold-eyed zealots.
