Synopsis
Session 9 (2001) is an American horror film directed by Brad Anderson — watch it online on iFILM. A small asbestos removal crew wins a contract to strip out a condemned psychiatric hospital in Danvers, Massachusetts. One week to finish the job. The money is good. The building is not.
Peter Mullan plays the crew boss holding the team together as things start to splinter. David Caruso, Josh Lucas, and Brendan Sexton III round out a group of ordinary guys who begin reacting to the place in ways they can't explain. Anderson shot on location inside the actual Danvers State Hospital — opened in 1878, shuttered shortly before filming began. The peeling walls, sealed wards and scattered case files aren't a set; they're the real thing.
Someone finds a series of recorded therapy tapes, and each session pulls the film a little further from rational ground. No gore, no jump-cut edits — the horror here is atmospheric and cumulative. The tagline says "Fear is a place." Stream Session 9 (2001) online on iFILM.
