Synopsis
Split Second (1992) is a British sci-fi thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Rutger Hauer plays Detective Harley Stone, hunting a killer through a rain-soaked, half-submerged London after the Thames floods the city in a near-future ecological collapse. Directed by Tony Maylam, the film runs 90 minutes and wastes none of them.
Stone is consumed by the case — the creature tore his partner apart years ago and has been toying with him ever since. It's strong, it's fast, and whatever it is, it doesn't show up in any manual. Stone's solution: bigger guns. The film mixes noir atmosphere with creature-feature horror and blunt-force action, featuring Kim Cattrall and Pete Postlethwaite in the supporting cast.
