Synopsis

The series follows the real Joan Hannington, who became one of Britain's most elusive jewellery thieves in the 1980s. Laxton keeps the focus on the person rather than the crimes — and Turner, shedding the Sansa Stark image entirely here, makes Joan compelling even when she's making the worst possible choices.
