Sonny Koufax takes in the boy on a whim — mostly to convince his girlfriend he's ready to grow up. His version of parenting: no bedtime, no rules, ketchup on everything. It's funny until it stops being a game. The kid starts to matter. Then the arrangement unravels in ways Sonny didn't plan for, and he actually has to show up for someone other than himself.
