Bedazzled

Bedazzled (2000) is a fantasy comedy directed by Harold Ramis — watch it online on iFILM. Brendan Fraser stars as Elliott Richards, a painfully awkward IT worker who can't bring himself to speak to the woman he's been fixated on for months. Elizabeth Hurley plays the Devil, who appears exactly as charming and dangerous as that role demands.

Elliott gets seven wishes in exchange for his soul. The catch is in the fine print. Each wish comes out technically correct and personally catastrophic. He asks to be rich and powerful — and wakes up as a Colombian drug lord with federal agents closing in. He asks to be sensitive and caring — and becomes so emotionally available that his dream girl finds him exhausting. Every wish lands sideways. Frances O'Connor plays Alison, the unwitting object of Elliott's increasingly elaborate fantasies.
