About

Synopsis

Shanghai Noon (2000) is an action-comedy western you can watch online on iFILM. Director Tom Dey drops a bumbling Chinese imperial guard, Chon Wang (Jackie Chan), into the Nevada desert of the 1880s. His mission: rescue the kidnapped Princess Pei Pei. His problem: he has absolutely no idea how the American West works.

The solution arrives in the form of Roy O'Bannon, a laid-back train robber played by Owen Wilson, who joins the chase more by accident than heroics. Together they wind up in Sioux territory, stumble through saloon brawls, and somehow form the most mismatched partnership the frontier has ever seen. Lucy Liu plays the princess, who turns out to have her own ideas about being rescued.

Chan performed his own stunts throughout — no stunt doubles. The film grossed $98 million worldwide and launched a sequel, Shanghai Knights. Stream Shanghai Noon (2000) online on iFILM.
