Synopsis
Dennis the Menace (1993) is a family comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Director Nick Castle adapted Hank Ketcham's beloved comic strip for the big screen: five-year-old Dennis Mitchell tears through the neighborhood with cheerful, unstoppable energy, and long-suffering retiree Mr. Wilson — played by Walter Matthau — bears the brunt of every single disaster.
Mason Gamble plays Dennis with genuine sweetness: the boy means no harm, he just can't help himself. Flowers get trampled, naps get ruined, guests get terrified. When a greasy drifter called Switchblade Sam, played by Christopher Lloyd, rolls into town, Dennis stumbles into something far less innocent than his usual mischief. Lea Thompson and Robert Stanton play his parents; Joan Plowright is Mrs. Wilson, steadier than her husband and twice as sharp.
The script came from John Hughes, who also wrote Home Alone — the same mix of slapstick and warmth is here. A Warner Bros. production built for summer afternoons, it delivers exactly what the premise promises and nothing more. Watch Dennis the Menace (1993) online on iFILM.
