About

Synopsis

The Sandlot (1993) is an American coming-of-age comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Director David Mickey Evans sets the story in the summer of 1962 — Scotty Smalls (Tom Guiry) has just moved to a new neighborhood and knows exactly no one. Then he discovers the sandlot, a scrappy patch of dirt where nine kids play baseball every single day.

Scotty can barely catch a ball, but Benny Rodriguez (Mike Vitar) sees something worth coaching. What follows is one summer of misadventures, first crushes, a legendary dog known as "The Beast," and a fence that nobody in their right mind crosses. James Earl Jones appears as the reclusive Mr. Mertle, and the scene with him is one of the quieter highlights of the whole film. Denis Leary and Karen Allen round out the adult cast. Stream The Sandlot online on iFILM — 101 minutes that hit different when you've had a summer like that.
