The Uncanny Counter (2020) is a Korean supernatural action series you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Yoo Sun-dong, the show follows a team of demon hunters called Counters — each bonded to a spirit from the afterlife that grants them extraordinary physical abilities. Their cover operation is a roadside noodle restaurant. They serve bowls of soup. They also track and eliminate evil spirits possessing human bodies.

So Mun (Jo Byeong-gyu) is a high school student with a physical disability who gets pulled into the Counter world when a dying member's spirit chooses him as a new host. He didn't volunteer. Veterans Mo Tak (Yoo Jun-sang), Chu Mae-ok (Yeom Hye-ran) and Choi Chang-gyu (Ahn Suk-hwan) run a tight operation and make room for him anyway. Running alongside the spirit hunts is a personal thread: So Mun is quietly digging into the crash that killed his parents years earlier.
