About

Synopsis

Watch Don't Be a Menace to South Central While Drinking Your Juice in the Hood (1996) online on iFILM — a Wayans Brothers parody that takes dead aim at every hood drama cliché of the early '90s. Directed by Paris Barclay, 89 minutes.

Ashtray (Shawn Wayans) moves to South Central L.A. to live with his father — who looks the same age — and a grandmother who smokes weed and curses like a dockworker. His cousin Loc Dog (Marlon Wayans) carries pistols, an Uzi, and, for emergencies, a thermonuclear warhead. The film never lets a single scene go by without skewering Boyz n the Hood, Juice, Jungle Fever, or Higher Learning. Vivica A. Fox, Bernie Mac, and Keenen Ivory Wayans all show up to pile on.

Released in 1996, the movie found a devoted cult audience who could recite every joke and still laugh. No redemption arc, no lessons learned — just relentless, sharply aimed comedy. Stream it online on iFILM.
