About

Synopsis

Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (2008) is the comedy sequel you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Jon Hurwitz and Hayden Schlossberg for New Line Cinema. John Cho and Kal Penn return as the hapless duo, this time aiming for Amsterdam — until Kumar pulls out a homemade bong on the plane and a panicked passenger hits the alarm.

Within the hour both friends are locked up in Guantanamo, and a thick-skulled Department of Homeland Security agent named Ron Fox — played with gleeful menace by Rob Corddry — is convinced they're a genuine threat. Their cross-country escape involves Ku Klux Klan territory, a bewildered redneck household, and a surreal side trip with Neil Patrick Harris playing a highly fictionalized version of himself. Each new stop is weirder than the last.

The film runs its jokes squarely at post-9/11 racial profiling and government overreach, packaging the satire in straight-faced absurdism. Stream Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (2008) online on iFILM.
