Synopsis

Inkheart (2008) is a family fantasy adventure you can watch online on iFILM. Directed by Iain Softley for New Line Cinema, it adapts Cornelia Funke's bestselling novel with Brendan Fraser as Mo Folchart — a bookbinder with a voice that pulls characters straight off the page.

Every time Mo reads aloud, fictional figures step into the real world. The catch: someone from real life gets pulled in to fill the empty space. That is how Mo's wife vanished into a dark storybook twelve years ago. Now the book's villain Capricorn, played with cold menace by Andy Serkis, has tracked Mo down and wants his gift weaponised. Mo's daughter Meggie (Eliza Bennett) turns out to share the ability — and fire-juggler Dustfinger (Paul Bettany) will do almost anything to get back into his own story. Helen Mirren delivers sharp comic steel as book-obsessed great-aunt Elinor, while Jim Broadbent plays Fenoglio, the author who wrote the world they're all trapped inside.

The film keeps Funke's central idea intact — that every story is a door — even where the screenplay diverges from the page. Watch Inkheart (2008) online on iFILM.
