Synopsis
Paranormal Activity (2007) is a found-footage horror you can watch online on iFILM — shot for just $15,000 by director Oren Peli, then picked up by Paramount and turned into one of the most profitable films ever made. Katie Featherston and Micah Sloat play a couple who set up a camera in their bedroom after strange noises start coming from the hallway.
At first the footage looks trivial: a door swings on its own, keys slide off the counter. But night by night the recordings grow harder to explain, and whatever is in the house seems far less interested in the building than in Katie herself. Produced by Blumhouse Productions and Solana Films, this raw, single-location thriller launched a six-film franchise and redefined what a microbudget horror could achieve at the box office — earning over $193 million worldwide.
