Synopsis

Edward Cole is a sharp-tongued corporate billionaire. Carter Chambers is an auto mechanic who has read more books than most academics. One morning they end up in the same hospital room sharing the same prognosis: months, maybe fewer. Carter has an old scrap of paper — things he always meant to do before dying. Edward has the money to make every item on it happen. So they go. Skydiving, vintage car racing, a sunrise above the Himalayas, an argument about God over dinner in Hong Kong.
Nicholson plays Cole as a man who has bought everything except someone worth talking to; Freeman plays Chambers as someone who has always had that and is only now realising he left parts of his own life unfinished.
