Synopsis
New York, I Love You (2008) is an anthology of twelve short films about love you can watch online on iFILM. Eleven directors — among them Natalie Portman, Mira Nair, Shunji Iwai, Fatih Akin, Jiang Wen, and Brett Ratner — each handed five minutes and a corner of the city. The cast runs from Bradley Cooper, Ethan Hawke and Shia LaBeouf to Orlando Bloom, Christina Ricci, Anton Yelchin, Blake Lively and John Hurt.
Every segment is set in a different part of Manhattan: the Diamond District, Chinatown, the Upper East Side, Tribeca, Brooklyn. A jeweller and a pickpocket meet mid-transaction. A musician and a woman argue in a hotel corridor. An elderly man and his caregiver share a quiet afternoon. Characters from one story drift through the edges of another — the city itself the one constant thread tying twelve separate moments together.
