Three years before the story begins, Xiao Yan was the most gifted young cultivator anyone had seen in a generation. Then his powers vanished overnight. By the time the series opens he has nothing: no abilities, no standing, a fiancée who shows up only to call off the engagement. What he finds inside an ancient ring changes that. The spirit of a master named Yao Lao — voiced by Liu Yuxuan — begins training him from scratch, rebuilding a foundation strong enough to eventually challenge people who have spent lifetimes ahead of him. Alongside Gu Xuner (voiced by Chen Yiwen) and a shifting cast of rivals and allies, Xiao Yan climbs a world where power is the only language anyone respects.
