Synopsis
Juno (2007) is an American comedy-drama you can watch online on iFILM, directed by Jason Reitman from an original screenplay by Diablo Cody. Elliot Page plays sixteen-year-old Juno MacGuff, supported by Michael Cera, Jennifer Garner, Jason Bateman, J.K. Simmons, and Allison Janney. Fox Searchlight and Mr. Mudd produced the film on a $7.5 million budget; it earned over $230 million worldwide.
Juno gets pregnant and decides to carry the baby to term, handing the child to a couple she picks from a classified ad — Vanessa and Mark Loring. Simple plan. Reality disagrees. Her dad and stepmom take the news with a calm that surprises everyone, while her feelings for Paulie Bleeker keep shifting in directions she didn't budget for. The film sits at the intersection of dry teenage wit and genuinely difficult choices, without flinching at either.
Diablo Cody won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 2008; the film collected four Oscar nominations in total, including Best Picture, and took the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture — Musical or Comedy. Stream Juno (2007) online on iFILM.
