A military bio-compound leaks near a small Texas town late one night. The infected don't die — they mutate into something far worse. Stripper Cherry Darling (Rose McGowan) loses her leg in the chaos; what she gets in its place is a mounted machine gun. Her ex, the quietly dangerous Wray (Freddy Rodríguez), rounds up a ragged group of survivors: two sheriff brothers, a troubled doctor, a few unlucky bystanders. The army, led by Bruce Willis's Lieutenant Muldoon, has other plans for all of them.
