Years after the events of Predacons Rising, Bumblebee gets called back to Earth when a Cybertronian prison ship crashes and floods the planet with escaped Decepticons. He quickly pulls together a team from whoever is available: Sideswipe, a rebel bot with no patience for rules; Strongarm, an Elite Guard cadet who has too many; the loud and self-important Dinobot Grimlock; and Fixit, a hyperactive Mini-Con whose verbal circuits keep misfiring. Will Friedle voices Bumblebee; Peter Cullen returns as Optimus Prime. The premise is straightforward — a ragtag unit learning to function — but it delivers on action and humour without talking down to its audience.
