Synopsis
Marley & Me (2008) is a comedy-drama directed by David Frankel that you can watch online on iFILM. Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston play John and Jennifer Grogan, two journalists who move to Florida, land newspaper jobs, and decide a puppy is a good warm-up before children. The film is based on John Grogan's 2005 memoir about a Labrador retriever widely described as the most misbehaved dog in America.
Marley eats furniture, shreds leashes, fails obedience class under trainer Ms. Kornblut (Kathleen Turner), and reduces every calm situation to chaos. He is also impossible to get rid of. Meanwhile John climbs the columns ladder under editor Arnie Klein (Alan Arkin), Jennifer juggles three kids and a career, and the dog keeps showing up in the gaps between all their grown-up decisions.
Released on Christmas Day 2008, the picture earned $255 million on a $60 million budget. It is funnier than most pet comedies and sadder than most dramas. Watch Marley & Me (2008) online on iFILM.
