Synopsis
The Flu (2013) is a South Korean disaster thriller you can watch online on iFILM. In Bundang, a satellite city of Seoul, an unknown respiratory virus breaks out — it spreads on the air and kills within 36 hours of the first cough.
The outbreak outruns every quarantine line. Rescue worker Kang Ji-koo hauls survivors out of the chaos, infectious-disease doctor In-hae races to figure out what's actually killing her patients, and her young daughter turns out to hold the key to a cure. Meanwhile the authorities prepare to seal off — and effectively write off — a district of millions. Jang Hyuk and Soo Ae carry the human thread as order collapses around them.
Director Kim Sung-su builds the catastrophe less from effects than from raw panic: crushing crowds in quarantine camps, soldiers at the gates, and the brutal math of one life against the greater good.
