About

Synopsis

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008) is a DreamWorks Animation comedy you can watch online on iFILM. Directors Eric Darnell and Tom McGrath reunite the original crew — lion Alex (Ben Stiller), zebra Marty (Chris Rock), giraffe Melman (David Schwimmer) and hippo Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith) — for a wilder ride than their island hideout ever delivered.

The penguins patch up a wrecked plane and get everyone airborne. Just not quite to New York. The gang crash-lands in the African savanna, where Alex runs into his long-lost parents — his father Zuba (Bernie Mac) is leader of the pride and fully expects his son to take over. Problem: Alex grew up doing dance routines for zoo crowds, not hunting. Rival lion Makunga (Alec Baldwin) smells weakness and moves fast, while King Julien (Sacha Baron Cohen) decides a volcanic sacrifice is the answer to everything.

Released in October 2008 and earning over $600 million worldwide, the film runs a tight 85 minutes of chases, penguin schemes and family drama played for big laughs. Stream Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa (2008) online on iFILM — loud, fast and funny for the whole family.
