The Visitors

The Visitors (Les Visiteurs, 1993) is a French fantasy comedy directed by Jean-Marie Poiré — watch it online on iFILM. Jean Reno and Christian Clavier star as a 12th-century knight and his dimwitted servant who land in modern-day France thanks to a wizard's badly aimed spell.

Count Godefroy de Montmirail had one simple goal: travel back in time and undo a fatal mistake. Instead, he ends up demolishing cars, terrorizing strangers, and demanding to know where all the serfs have gone. His servant Jacquouille finds the 20th century far too comfortable to leave, while Godefroy's present-day descendants — a perfectly ordinary bourgeois family — have no idea what to do with him. The film became one of the top-grossing French comedies of the 1990s.
