These days Jill shares an apartment with her younger sister and is barely holding her routine together. She comes home one morning and the sister is simply gone. The cops shrug it off as a girl who'll turn up after a wild night. Jill is convinced the kidnapper is back and has taken her family this time. So she pockets a gun and works Portland herself, lying to detectives, picking locks, chasing a trail only she can see. The deeper she goes, the louder the doubt grows: was there ever a kidnapper at all?
