The Abbott family survives on a remote farm under one rule: make no sound. Parents Lee and Evelyn (Krasinski and Emily Blunt) communicate in sign language, walk barefoot on sand paths, and count every breath. Their daughter Regan, played by Millicent Simmonds — who is deaf in real life — carries a secret that reshapes the whole story.
