Synopsis
Road House (2024) is an action thriller directed by Doug Liman — watch online on iFILM. Jake Gyllenhaal plays Dalton, a former UFC fighter scraping by on underground bare-knuckle bouts and sleeping in his car until a bar owner in the Florida Keys hands him an unusual job offer.
The roadhouse sits in a picture-perfect stretch of water and palm trees, but a local crew keeps smashing it to pieces, and behind them is money and muscle that outweighs anything Dalton has faced in the ring. Conor McGregor plays Knox — a hired psychopath who arrives with no off switch — and once he shows up, the breezy Keys setting turns into something considerably more dangerous. Daniela Melchior and Billy Magnussen round out a cast that keeps the energy high between the fight sequences.
Produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Silver Pictures on an $85 million budget, the film is a loose reimagining of the 1989 Patrick Swayze original, stripped of sentiment and rebuilt around Gyllenhaal's physicality.
