All Things Fair

Stig fills that gap — and the two are pulled toward each other despite every reason not to be. Widerberg keeps the wartime backdrop deliberately unglamorous: rationed lives, cramped flats, and the particular sadness of occupied Scandinavia seeping through every frame. The film runs 125 minutes and never softens what it shows.
