When gangsters murder his brother, Rama goes undercover, working his way into a sprawling crime syndicate to climb close enough to take it apart from the inside. Iko Uwais returns in the lead, again using the martial art of pencak silat, opposite Arifin Putra as the ambitious heir to the throne and Julie Estelle as a deaf assassin who fights with two hammers.

Evans turns the cramped first film into a full crime saga: a prison riot, a clan war, a freeway car chase, and a kitchen brawl that fight fans still break down shot by shot.
