Synopsis

Kill Your Darlings (2013) is a crime drama you can watch online on iFILM — the story of what happened in 1944 at Columbia University, before Beat Generation poetry existed as a movement at all. Director John Krokidas builds the film around a real murder that tied together names history would later carve in stone.

Freshman Allen Ginsberg, played by Daniel Radcliffe, falls into the orbit of Lucien Carr (Dane DeHaan), a brilliant and reckless student who turns the whole idea of literature upside down. Jack Kerouac (Jack Huston) and William Burroughs (Ben Foster) circle the same rooms, caught in the same electric pull. Then Carr kills David Kammerer, a man who had followed him for years. The court records are still in Columbia's archive.

Krokidas keeps the camera close and the pacing restless — this is less a tribute to icons than a question about how obsession breeds both art and violence. Radcliffe strips away every trace of his previous persona and earns it. Stream Kill Your Darlings (2013) online on iFILM.
