The Vampire Diaries (2009–2017) is a supernatural drama from The CW you can watch online on iFILM. Eight seasons, 171 episodes, and a small Virginia town called Mystic Falls where the longest-standing residents haven't aged a day in centuries. Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios produced the series based on L.J. Smith's book series; it launched as one of the network's biggest premieres and held that audience straight through to the finale.

Elena Gilbert is seventeen, recently orphaned, and doing her best to look fine at school. Paul Wesley plays Stefan Salvatore — the new student who is, in fact, well over a hundred and fifty years old and doing his best to stay out of trouble. Ian Somerhalder plays his brother Damon, who is emphatically not interested in staying out of trouble. Kat Graham's Bonnie Bennett is the witch who keeps having to clean up what the vampires start; Candice King's Caroline Forbes goes through an arc across eight seasons that outpaces nearly every other character in the show.
