Back in the early 2000s, radical activist Pat Calhoun was part of a cell that went too far — someone died, and the group scattered. Now he is Bob Ferguson, living off-grid in Southern California with a teenage daughter named Willa who has zero patience for his paranoia and no phone to speak of. Leonardo DiCaprio plays Bob as a man permanently stuck between who he was and who he tells himself he is now. Sean Penn is Colonel Lockjaw, the enemy from that buried chapter, back and in motion. Benicio del Toro turns up as Sensei Sergio St. Carlos, a figure whose loyalties shift with the scene. Teyana Taylor's Perfidia keeps everyone guessing.
