X-Men (1992–1997) is the landmark Marvel animated series you can watch online on iFILM. A team of mutants led by Professor Charles Xavier guards a world that fears and hates them in return.

Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Jean Grey, Beast, Gambit and Rogue share Xavier's mansion and square off against Magneto, who's convinced peace with humankind is a fantasy. The show didn't flinch from heavy material: a Mutant Registration Act, the towering Sentinels built to hunt them down, prejudice and the dread of anyone different. Storylines ran across multiple episodes — rare for Saturday-morning cartoons back then.

Five seasons, 76 episodes, a darker tone, and a theme song people still hum from memory. This is the version that handed a whole generation "The Dark Phoenix Saga" and "Days of Future Past."
