Synopsis

François is a grumpy crime novelist who spends his days in pyjamas churning out swashbuckling stories about his fictional Marquis de la Rose. His partner Colette — a Sorbonne professor and dedicated student of Alfred Hitchcock — is done watching life pass by from the couch. Then their upstairs neighbour, flamboyant stage actor Yann Kerbec played by Guillaume Gallienne, loses his wife under very suspicious circumstances. Suddenly François has a real mystery on his hands — and Colette has exactly the kind of plot she's been waiting for.
