Going in Style

Going in Style (2017) is a crime comedy from director Zach Braff you can watch online on iFILM. Three retired buddies decide to rob the bank that wiped out their pensions.

Willie, Joe and Al spent their lives doing the right thing, clocking in at the steel mill and pinching every dollar. Then the plant freezes their pensions, the bank moves on the house, and the money they earned simply vanishes. So they hit back. The plan is brazen and dumb in equal measure: walk into that bank and take what's theirs. Trouble is, these three make for lousy criminals. One can't drive the getaway car straight, another dozes off mid-rehearsal, and the whole heist runs on pure stubbornness. Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin trade deadpan jabs that make you root for them all the way.

A remake of the 1979 George Burns picture, Braff plays it as a warm comedy about friendship, growing old, and getting a little payback on the system. Ann-Margret, Christopher Lloyd and Kenan Thompson round out the fun. Stream Going in Style (2017) online on iFILM.
