Synopsis
The Collection (2012) is a brutal horror-thriller you can watch online on iFILM. Marcus Dunstan picks up right where the first film left off, dropping safecracker Arkin back into the path of the masked killer who nearly ended him.
Arkin (Josh Stewart) barely survives a massacre at an underground party where the Collector snatches a young woman named Elena. He wakes in a hospital, then gets dragged out by mercenaries Elena's rich father has hired. The deal is ugly: lead them into the killer's lair or die. That lair turns out to be a derelict hotel rebuilt as a death trap, packed with spring-loaded blades, drugged captives and the Collector's prized human displays.
Dunstan and co-writer Patrick Melton, both Saw veterans, trade slow dread for relentless, splatter-heavy set pieces. At 82 minutes it moves more like an action film than a haunted-house story.
