Synopsis
Money Monster (2016) is Jodie Foster's thriller you can watch online on iFILM. A loud TV stock guru gets taken hostage on live air by a viewer who lost everything following his advice.
Lee Gates, played by George Clooney, hosts a circus of a finance show where he dances in silly costumes and hands out can't-miss tips. One day Kyle (Jack O'Connell) slips onto the set. He's a delivery driver who sank his last savings into a stock Gates hyped, and the stock cratered overnight. He straps an explosive vest on the host and demands one thing on camera: explain where eight hundred million dollars went. In the control room, producer Patty (Julia Roberts) feeds Gates lines through his earpiece while racing to find out what really happened to the company.
Foster keeps the whole thing running close to real time and turns one man's ruin into a sharp question about who answers for a crash blamed on a "glitch in the algorithm." Dominic West and Caitriona Balfe fill out the cast. Stream Money Monster (2016) online on iFILM.
